- Discuss School Improvement Plan
- Goal for SIP
- Goal 1: 83% of our students will master essential learning as measured by team developed common formative assessments for each content area.
- Goal 2: 24-25 Spring Math Inventory – the percent of students at or above benchmark will improve by 5% compared to Fall math Inventory.
- Goal 3: 24-25 Spring Reading Inventory – the percent of students at or above benchmark will increase by 5% as compared to fall reading inventory
- Goal for SIP
- Reading Data and Testing
- The data is more about reading comprehension. 449 were on or above grade level. 62 were below grade level. 415 were far below grade level.
- The question was brought up regarding how the elementaries and middle school aligns with testing.
- This test data we’re looking at is more about comprehension rather than fluency which results in a bit of a disconnect.
- Amplify is aligned with what is being done at the elementary schools so our goal is to apply this curriculum. The goal is to also align horizontally within the school.
- Four our goal, have it be 5% improve from below or far below grade level to on grade level rather than including those who didn’t take it who have now taken it.
- Benefits of pivoting away from academy classes: academy classes have too many for one teacher. In a regular class there would be 3-4 kids with a need for support. Honors math can meet the needs of higher achievers and honors literacy could do the same. Having less academy classes and more enrichment classes.
- What We Want for SIP
- ELA new curriculum
- Language skills across all academic disciplines
- Math tutoring and support
