Projected Courses and Sections:

-No new teachers will be needed for the next year.

-Projected cost for additional 2.5 FTE and Parent Liaison

-Estimated distribution for 2024-2025 – $208,677.97

We went through the School improvement plan for different middle schools that were similar to MLMS. Some ideas from the analyzing these plans were:

-After school tutoring could be an idea for use of funds.

-Sheli brought up PEAK and why we don’t have that anymore. Mostly it was hard to chase kids around to get them where they needed to be. This year for intervention teachers have a day within 3 days of giving a CFA where they can reteach, retake the test and where no new material is given.

-Gear up Grant – Whole school is getting funding or a class is getting funding. Principal Holmgren has applied for it for 7th and 8th grade year.

-Contact other schools about the attendance at their schools and what they do to help with attendance issues.

-Finding some ways to help parents to get the kids to school. Setting goals with parents, calling parents etc.

–Math -Class sizes are smaller for 7th and 8th grade. 6th grade intervention math classes. (They need to be smaller for next year)

–ELL teacher- She trains teachers, trains at faculty meeting and researches and plans how to teach.

- Focused just on Math and Reading. This would mean that teachers for Science, History, and other subjects will help focus on these goals. Cross curricular activities and assignments.
